TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF EVENT PARTICIPATION

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions ("Agreement") govern participation in any event hosted, organized, or facilitated by Dear New Orleans, LLC, a Louisiana limited liability company doing business as Dear World ("Dear World"). By attending or participating in any Dear World event (the “Event”), all attendees, guests, speakers, vendors, and participants agree to comply with these terms.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for, attending, or participating in a Dear World event, you agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you must refrain from attending or participating in the Event.

3. Use of Likeness: Photography, Videography, and Media Consent

By attending the Event, you acknowledge and agree that:

  1. Photography & Video Recording: Dear World and its partners may capture photos, videos, and recordings during the Event.
  2. Use & Distribution: Dear World and its partners may use these images, videos, and recordings for promotional, marketing, archival, or educational purposes.
  3. Modification Rights: Media may be edited, modified, or altered (e.g., retouching, compositing, background adjustments) at the sole discretion of Dear World.
  4. No Compensation: Attendees will not receive financial compensation for the use of their likeness.
  5. No Approval Rights: Attendees waive any rights to review or approve the final materials before publication.
  6. Perpetual License: Dear World and its partners have the right to use, publish, and distribute media content in perpetuity.
  7. Privacy Waiver: Attendees waive any reasonable expectation of privacy or confidentiality regarding images and recordings taken at the Event.

💡 If an attendee wishes to opt out of being photographed or recorded, they must notify Dear World in writing at least 10 days before the Event.

4. Data Collection & Privacy

  • Dear World may collect certain personal data (e.g., name, email, company affiliation) as part of event registration and participation.
  • Personal data will be handled in accordance with Dear World’s Privacy Policy.
  • By attending, you consent to the collection, use, and processing of your personal information for event administration, security, and marketing purposes.

    Mobile information will not be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with or obtained from any third parties.
